Wanting to use darker tones, I decided to go straight ahead with it. I used a black paint lightly mixed with water and made marks with it straight on the page. After letting it dry a little, I decided to water down certain areas of the piece, which left water marks, something I enjoyed. Once the piece had dried I added a white tone upon certain places, this I feel ruined the piece, the whole point of it was to create a dark tone throughout and I completely contradicted my idea, therefore felt this experiment did not work.
