Continuing with the dark tonal value, I decided to use black paint without watering it down at all. I painting straight onto the piece. This was a bad idea. It did not work. I was left with two C's for some reason, rigid in their shape, rather than a free, expressive piece. I also feel adding the white upon this piece really did not help. To conclude, I dislike how this piece turned out, it lacks tonal value, movement and colour, and I really think there is little I could do to improve it another than cover it up fully.
