After experimenting with wax using spray paint I decided to move onto using it with normal paint. I felt it was important to move on from using spray paint as I want to create a sketchbook dedicating experiments to it, as I feel it is such an influential part of my art work, in addition to this I feel I can relate it to my artists extremely well. I started this piece by creating various marks using paint, creating different tones. I then dripped red wax onto the piece from contrasting angles. I felt this worked well but I do not think this piece works well as a whole. The colours within the background are so faded and washed out, they bring nothing to the piece, it may as well not have been there. However, I am happy with the wax and will continue to experiment with it in my work.
