Finding out that ash creates a beautiful basis upon mark making, I decided to create this piece experimenting with the charcoal like medium I uncovered. I feel this went well, the ash is just dark enough to allow me to create marks upon the paint but still light enough for the paint to shine through. To conclude, I am happy with how this piece turned out and would continue with using this mark making method, preferably on a large scale.
