Since, I did not have the heat with me for this piece, I decided to minimise the amount of cling film used within the piece. In addition to this, I felt it was time to start moving away from cling film, I had created intriguing experiments with it, and will go back to it later on within my work, however felt it was time to start looking at other types of material to work with. I decided to create thick layers of dark marks from the bottom of this piece, and place the cling film around the edges of the piece. I feel this worked well, I then moved onto add subtle amounts of white paint upon the black tones, just enough to allow me to make gentle marks within the piece. One thing in particular which interested me within this piece was the ability to create dark marks using the ash from the pages. It is something I would definitely like to start creating more marks with. To conclude, I am happy with how this piece turned out, I feel the light use of cling film created just enough of a textured base to bring depth into this piece.
