As well as experimenting with various page colours, I decided to experiment with  scale. Scale is something extremely vital within any piece of art work. So far I had been working an a small scale, which was going well, but left me felling slightly trapped within my sketchbook Since finishing my sketchbook, I was able to move onto using various scales, so I decided to go big, and came out with these two pieces. Whilst, I did really enjoy working on a large scale, as it gave me a lot more room to work and a lot more space to create textures, I do not like these pieces, and see a lot of refinements which need to be made to them. Once going into a larger scale, I seemed to loose to ability to create subtle, tiny marks, in which I relished in within the previous studies. In addition to this, the cling film ended up being spread way to thinly across the piece. To conclude, at that point in time I was really unhappy with how the piece turned out, however, I decided to go back and refine it later on within my work. At the point where I wanted to refine the piece, I was experimenting with spray paint, something which will be presented on my blog at a later date, therefore I decided to go over these pieces with spray paint. This actually led to me creating more experiments with spray paint and texture within my book later on throughout my process. To conclude, I am happy with how the two pieces looks now, I feel they really relate well to the topic of Grime culture and well to " create a conversational piece".
